  • Hey dude nice video, I've got a bit of a problem though. When I tune up to my preffered tuning (Drop D) my bridge is either to high or too low. When I correct this however my guitar goes out of tune again - and when I correct this my bridge goes out again - it's a vicious cycle. D'you know how I'd stop this from happening? Cheers.
  • instead of lossening all the strings at once, i do it one at time so the bridge doesnt drop that far

  • its called an ibanez edge pro locking tremolo which is better than the floyd rose
  • nope, the edge pro is the first locking tremolo to have it with the ball ends

  • ..... or instead of even having to make a video like this... ..get the new Zero Resistance(ZR) tremelo that most of the newer S series guitars have. most of the new rg prestige guitars have them too :D unfortunently you cant really install a ZR on an edge-pro guitar, though :(

  • your problem sounds like you have too much tension. that means the springs are way too tight and when trying to meet the tension with the strings, they snap. but it's pretty strange that the top e string from an 11 gauge set snaps that easily... check if the string lies on any sharp or rough edges. also i'd try to set up the trem from the start. loosen all your springs in case they are very tight, put on a new set of strings and then set it up like in the video. lemme know if it worked...
  • I'm not sure if you were directing this towards me but with my problem of the tension then yes, all those things are fine. but i'm guessing it's because i use 11's, and only have 3 springs to support it, is it really true that i'm going to need to put another spring there to support it?

  • would need some work on the body. ask a skilled guitar tech.
