  • not only that. but you have your own style of playing too. wich makes you playing the guitar unique. wich is good.
  • thank you
  • haha that´s new sound so real! thanks !
  • Awesome!
  • to all those people who dont know why they cant sound exactley like who they wanna sound like, the reason you cant sound like somebody else is cause of your hands. you can't sound like B.B. cause you ain't B.B., and you cant sound like Eddie VH cause you aint Eddie.
  • Yes to Lightin' Hopkins. I perform "High Price Blues" a tune written by him. His style is all fingers. Once you get a good tone from the guitar even the simple slow stuff sounds good. Thanks for your comment.........John
  • Nice FHB
  • You have style man, great video. I'm a huge fan of the blues, and this is helping me a lot. Thanks!
  • John I totally love your lessons and style, I always used to think I had to pick everything, now I am really starting to see that using your fingers gives a beautiful blues tone and sound. I was wondering if you are familiar with Lightin' Hopkins style of blues, it seems along the same lines as these lessons. I was hoping you might give a few lessons on his finger style with the shuffle blues approach. Keep up the great lessons, you are helping so much.
  • Super helpful. Thank you for including tabs. Your sound is great. Love the guitar!

  • The D just meant it had two humbucking pick-ups. Great guitar for playing Jazz. I wish I still had mine. Years ago I met Lenny Breau in Ottawa and watched for hours while he played my Gibson. The "Claw", Gerry Reed, was one of his fav. I almost quit playing after that one :)
  • It a ES 175. I don't think it has a D. My favorite no doubt....Thanks for the comment.JH
  • Is your guitar a Gibson ES 175 D ? Had one for years. Great sound. Great lessons as well. Could have used these when I was young and just starting out. Mel Bay was not exactly into rock :)
