• Sabine, you are so wrong. Purple is, and always has been, a group of great musicians. The best in their field. They are definately not out of Morse's League. I mean: Paul McCartney can ask any drummer in the world to make records with him and he asks Ian? No, Purple is definately not out of Morse's League. And he will agree!
• 8 or 10 people in the world play guitar as well as Steve Morse does.... What I can't understand is how Deep Purple managed to talk him into joining the band, I love Deep Purple mind you.... but they are a bit out of Morse's League

• he deserves more fame that what he gets. anybody know a good steve morse album with some country guitar in it? i never really liked country music but i heard him doing some country guitar stuff and i liked it so if anyone knows of any good albums of his with country guitar in it let me know!

• true, his solos aren't as spectacular as in his solo work, but, DP isn't his band...he plays what is asked of him, more than likely. he does, however, have a few killer solos with DP..check out Jack Ruby off the album Perpendicular...pretty sick, if i may say so..
