• that would be so fun
• on the circular track it was as the tires were overheating. On a straight, it was stable. the car has an electric fan to stabilize the pressure under the car at high speed and to help it go faster. At 240 mph tires dont last long on any car. With proper tires, the F1 went faster on the circular track in the video. The f1 is a great car for what it is.
• but at that speed it was basically out of control, going any faster and you would have risked a serious accident
• it did go that fast in a straight line and not on a turn. The F1 is still only limited by its redline. With another gear, it can go faster than about 241 (offical top speed in the record books)
• I agree. It was a purpose built car. The F1 was not purpose built for just one category. The F1 still holds the record for the fastest NA car to this date and in almost 15 years, nothing has done better. So many people say if this and what if that..... it is what it is, a fast all around car just as it was meant to be.
• Also keep in mind the weight of the Veryon, and the overall performance. The Veryon was built to take down the top speed, but I really doubt it'd stand much of a chance on an open track. Thing's heavy as hell for a supercar...

• correct! if the mclaren f1 would also have 4 turbo's like the veyron, i couldn't imagine how fast it would go. the mclaren f1 is the fastest N/A of all time. speed record was 391kph or 244.3mph
