  • i was lucky to see this tour in L.A. opening nite of 4 shows. robert plants son died and the tour was canceled-but they came back and did 6 shows.i got to go opening nite and the 6th nite. something i will never forget. the crowd went wild when jimmy brought out the doubleneck
  • the Yardbirds were a completely different band. Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck played in it, and at the end Jimmy Page, but the group split and then Jimmy Page went looking for bandmembers for the New Yardbirds, later called Led Zeppelin. They formed in 1968.
