• Thank you very much indeed for that. I've been learning the alternating bass/using the bottom strings and fingerstyle patterns independently. I now realise that I don't have to be hard and fast about the "book" as it were, and combine the two, as long as I keep the rhythm right. Cheers, Rich

• Thanks. Sometimes the most simple ideas are the biggest influence. A couple of hours of thumb and finger picking without thinking about the left hand has opened up some creative possibilities. Now I have some new picking patterns to bring a fresh sound to the songs I know. Thanks from Canada.

• Ok Doll, you're very helpful - thanks. But what I want to know is why are you sitting in the dark? Can't see your patterns that well, and I noticed all your videos are just as dark. Besides, you don't look like a gal that ought to be hidin' in the dark, from what I can tell :-)
