I was impressed to see that I could actually do this entire song using the standard controller, so I decided to video it and upload it for your entertainment. To clear some things up for those of you who played GH2 but not GH3(with the controller anyway), the controller follows the same rules as the guitar in Guitar Hero 3. In other words, things like hammer-ons and pull-offs can be performed with the controller, unlike in Guitar Hero 2. Also, only the furthest note(to the right on-screen) plays when more than one is held down. On the controller, every time you press a button, a strum is registered. So, for example, if a stream of blue notes come up, I can hold the blue and alternate tapping between green and red to hit more notes than I would tapping blue alone. This should clear up any confusion as to the techniques I use in the video, but if it doesn't, feel free to ask any questions. Enjoy! ^_^

  • Actually yes, I'm left handed. This is the ps3 version, so no achievements.

  • Okay, for green and red, you have to tap as fast as you can. For yellow, blue and orange, you hold down the button for the respective color, then you alternate tapping between green and red, thus doubling how fast you can hit notes, since only the furthest note counts when a strum occurs.
