blues guitar lesson (walkin' blues) - 1/2 User Reviews

  • I can't post links in these comments. But if you go to, johnhguitar -> Video Guitar lessons, Tabs -> Solo Songs -2 -> lesson description #1 there is a link that says "here". If you click that link, it will bring up the high quality lesson in a separate window. But before being able to play the lesson, you have to first download their free player which is available on the homepage of their website. -jc
  • I went. It's not there.
  • We now have a high quality version of this and other lessons on a different platform. Go to the guitar lessons section of the website for link. -jc
  • Hello John, Thanks a lot for your lessons. It's a big help for me for learning the blues. But I have problems with loading this video. I can see the 2 lesson of walking blues but not the first video. It sounds great!! met vriendelijke groeten Christophe (from Belgium)
  • John's out of town, but from another lesson comment thread, he said, "That is a 1978 Gibson ES-175. Gibson started making this model in the fifties. It's always been one of my favorite guitars." -jc
  • John...what kind of guitar are you playing?? Can't find it on the GIBSON website. You are very helpful to me and want to thank you. You make a huge difference.
  • Try clearing out your browswer cache, and then deleting cookies (at least the Youtube cookie). I just did that and it now plays after not having played previously. -jc
  • Too bad. Looks like this video is dead. Just won't load. The second one works ok though.

  • Per YT's recommendation, I am now able to play this after having emptied my browser cache and deleting all my cookies. I don't know if that's what fixed it as I also sent a support request to Google, and maybe they fixed something.
  • john, thanks so much for the lessons. i've been practicing the boogie and coming along. i can't seem to upload the walking blues part 1...can you repost ? where do you teach? ... love to get some live lessons someday. - Dr. P

  • Thanks for that nice compliment. Just trying to share what I know to keep this tradition going. If I could earn enough money from this to look like a capitalist that would be great but till now nothing like that has ever happened....John
  • Who's ever heard of me? SQUAT! I'm fairly well known in Australia where I toured for ten years. Here in America I've been raising four kids and doing very little traveling. I teach guitar for a living but don't play out much. Sorry, John
  • Probably because he's one of the greatest 'unknown' guitairists in the world! If you ever get the chance to meet him, you'll be inspired! John is a true gentlemen of the music world!
  • I agree the best blues teacher so far. You get my votes.
