Steve Morse Classical Guitar Solos User Reviews

  • Alrite i got the music for Northern Lights almost ready, Ill post it on UG in a little while. Man i cant even play it, take years for me to play it like him :(
  • northern lights is such a hard song to play...I wish I played it!!!
  • Beautiful and amazing!
  • er ist einfach der beste!!!
  • he plays fluidly.... hey guys...argueing online is like winning in the special olympics...even if you win your still retarted....
  • Commodoran: maybe you have right my friend! i will think about it!
  • You're a clueless moron.
  • The guitar he uses has a special output, it allows him to pan different strings to the left and right of the mix. In the studio he makes it sound like it's coming from everywhere at once. I don't know how he does it live but it's just amazing.
  • It's a custom made electro-acoustic nylon string, it's a one off. I read somewhere that he wanted to be able to pan the strings a certain way to get a specific sound.
  • So you measure good music based on how difficult it is to play ? retard.
  • What do you mean 'but' ? Everything he does sounds good, that's why he was voted best guitarist 5 times in a row by readers of Guitar Player Magazine. He is one of the hardest working musicians in the industry. If you think what he does is easy then please put up a video and show us.
  • but it sounds really very good!
  • It fits the Classical Baroque genre.
  • Please leave forever quergitarre We know its not a classical guitar, we dont care. If you know so much about classical music you should have something better to do.
  • its not a classical guitar! and its not classical music! what do you mean with classical guitar?
  • ajarvinen: please dont make a damn big god from one person who knows 2 play guitar,he is just a good guitarist, and all of that what he played in this clip is very easy 2 paly.you never need 2 play a hard song 2 make a good music!you can play a beutiful easy song clear and right, then you are a good guitarist like steve morse!he plays really goog!
  • I grew up listening to the dregs, bach in the day.
  • does it have to be?????
  • It was the same show, but in Boston. They only did one tour. Steve was playing the quieter/acoustic Dregs stuff and his other personal favorites, like the Bach piece. When he came back and sat in with The Trio, we could tell he really wasn't in his element, but the crowd was full of Dregs fans, and we all just cheered him on. Btw ajarvinen, none of this stuff is "new age" or "wanking", and if you can play this well, then good for you, you should be proud, but I'd like to see it. Talk is cheap.
  • Hey glennjitsu, was that the show in New Jersey? I was at that show, and the audience really appreciated Steve because he was playing actual songs, while every one else was just trying to out duel each other.
  • Ok, Steve Morse is the best but this "new age" wanking (the first 6 minutes) really isn't that hard.
  • In the 80s I saw Steve open for The Trio (John McLaughlin, Paco DeLucia, Al DiMeola). He did 45 minutes of this type of stuff. Phenomenal. Later, as The Trio played, the crowd yelled stuff at them like, "Bring back Steve". John and Paco seemed to delight in this, but Al looked pissed off. Finally someone yelled it again, and Al submitted and said, "Oh, you know we will!" They did and it was really good, but not nearly as good as Steve doing his solo thing. To me, he blew them out of the water.
  • grande steve morse!!!grande!!!
  • What an absolute guitar master, Steve Morse! Thanks for posting this pristine sample of his breathtaking classical work!
  • Well, now he's no longer a dumbass, thanks to your infinite wisdom and knowledge.
